People First of
​Southeast Nebraska

PF of Southeast Nebraska includes the Auburn and surrounding communities.  Founded in 1999, we recently celebrated our 15 year anniversary!

Our mission is to learn self-advocacy and to teach others about the rights and responsibilities of being an assertive self-advocate.  

Just who do we think we are?

​We give back to our community.  We have done many fundraisers including bake sales, raffles, dances, and a bowl-a-thon.  Since 1999, we have donated over $9,000 to the Chamber of Commerce Backpack program, the Arc, the local library and movie theater, Special Olympics, Knights of Columbus, our Community Blood Mobile, Jaycees, Neighbor to Neighbor, and raised $600 for a co-worker who has breast cancer.

We have sent packages to the troops, tornado victims, and families at Christmas.  We also donated money to the new volley ball courts and disk golf courts in town.

People First of SE Nebraska were awarded the Shirley Dean People First Chapter of the Year at the 2015 People First of Nebraska Convention​

PF of SE donates to Nemaha County Sheriff's Department!
This money will go to their Shop with a Cop project to promote good will between the Sheriff's Depatrment and the community.    Afterward, they enjoyed a Cone with a Cop at the local Dairy Sweet!
